Everyone can wear jackets in different ways. Some wear it in a pretty way and some choose to style it sexier. The little black jacket or LBJ, the most important creation by couturier Coco Chanel after
the little black dress, takes on the personality of the wearer.
The conception of Chanel, mainly was to fight the constricted waistlines of Dior’s “new look”, thus thisclassic piece has undergone decades of transformation, yet remained the modern woman’s wardrobe
must-have. History tells us that Chanel was a woman of great spirit and determination and it was with
this spirit that she was inspired to design a jacket that was not only pleasing to the eyes, but was
something women -and even men - could feel comfortable in.
And like many classic designs, it’s got secrets. Each jacket is hand stitched with silk, which conceals one of jacket's biggest weapons; its chain.

While designing, Chanel used the chain to help the jacket retain it shape while fitting the contours of
the body. To this day, Chanel is one of the few remaining fashion houses to weigh its jackets, or, in
this case, line them with a fine chain.
Additionally, each Chanel jacket makes it possible for the jacket to expand within three size ranges of
its original design. Regardless of how its worn, the jacket never loses its appeal.
The LBJ comes in a variety of fabrics including, satin, knit, leather , pleather and lace.
It comes in various fittings as well like boxer fitting, clinched at the waist, cape like, tuxedo style.
It also comes with different detailing like pearls as button or metal buttons.
