Gigi Hadid Photographs Zayn Malik for New Versus Versace Campaign

Versus, the subordinate brand of Italian fashion house Versace, has announced Zayn Malik as their

face in the Spring/Summer 2017 campaign. The shoot was shot by supermodel (and Malik’s girl) Gigi Hadid. The campaign also involves British model and activist Adwoa Aboah.

Shot at the legendary Chateau Marmont in L.A., the images are gawky and candid, celebrating a

personal and intimate relationship between the three superstars that’s often astray in high profile fashion campaigns. “It was extra special that Gigi shot the campaign,” Malik said in a press

release.

Gigi Hadid used an iPhone and digital lens to capture the models, wearing fresh garments from

SS17, including Malik shirtless in a classic Versus leather jacket. “The Versus campaign

captures anything and everything that is special about ZAYN, Gigi and Adwoa,” Versace’s Donatella Versace got into detail in a release. “They are young and blossoming people who define the

mood of their generation with their truthfulness, energy and their love.”

For supermodel Gigi Hadid, this was her first photography gig, but most certainly isn’t her last —

she’s rumoured to debut a photography portfolio in V Magazine’s May issue. As for Malik, the Versus

collection he designed with Donatella drops this June.

“It was sick to work with Versus. Dontella is a G,” said Malik. “It was extra exclusive that Gigi shot

the campaign.” The collection will drop in June, followed by the former One Directioner’s own

Versus line shortly after.
