Beyoncé, Jay Z, and their daughter Blue Ivy attended the Hollywood premiere of the
live-action version of Beauty and the Beast—but skipped out on the red carpet.
Now we know what they wore, thanks to new images posted on beyonce.com.
For the occasion, the Carters coordinate in Gucci. Jay Z stepped out in a
tiger-and-floral embroidered Gucci denim jacket, while Beyoncé—who is pregnant
with twins—showed off her growing belly in a Gucci emerald green,
Empire-waist chiffon gown, and Kimberly McDonald jewels. But it was their
5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy who took home the night's award for
best dressed: She wore the child's version of a Gucci dress that originally
made its debut on the Fall 2016 runway as an adult dress.
While the original retails for $26,000, Blue's child version was a steal at $2,100.
"We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over," she said. "We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your
well wishes. - The Carters."

Though they skipped the red carpet, Beyoncé brought her 5-year old daughter,
Blue Ivy Carter, as her date to the Hollywood premiere of Beauty and the Beast last week.
Several pictures of Queen Bey and Blue Ivy before and at the event were posted on the
Beylite Instagram account — showing the motherdaughter pair having the time of their lives,
while decked out in matching green gowns. E! News notes Bey wore a $1,760 Alaïa dress,
while Blue Ivy appeared to be wearing a shrunken replica of a
velvet-trimmed $26,000 dress from Gucci’s fall 2016 collection.
It’s safe to say the child’s size version cost significantly less.
Beyonce and Blue Ivy were absolute beauties last week, but the costs of their outfits were a bit
of a beast!
The velvet-trimmed gown features a colourful, tiered silk skirt and detailed parrot and snake
embroidery on the lace panelled bodice. It is also embellished with glittering crystals and
faux pearls. But while Blue Ivy's Gucci gown may have been over-the-top extravagant,
she kept her footwear classic and simple: The soon-to-be big sister topped off her look
with glittery Converse Chuck Taylors.
This isn't the first time that Blue Ivy has rocked fancy designer wear, particularly Gucci. Most
recently, she wore a $1,800 Gucci dress less than two weeks ago to sit court-side with her
parents at the NBA All-Star Game. And she even carried a $2,500
Gucci cat purse at the 2017 Grammys.
