There are mornings where one cup of coffee will perk you up, while there are other mornings where even a whole pot will have no effect whatsoever. To look glowing and alert, after a strenuous day, makeup artist joann solomon suggests the following tips and tricks:
Exfoliate: dry, flaky skin makes you look tired. Splash cold water on your face to reduce puffiness then use a cleanser with a face brush.

Use strong de-puffer: take care of your under-eye bags with a concentrated formula that tauts the tired skin below your eyes.

Use primer over eyelids: tired eyes get watery. Use a primer on your eyelids to prevent your eye makeup from running. Dust on a soft, shimmery eye shadow which will add warmth to your eyes.

Use an eyelash curler and mascara: curl your lashes starting at the base and pushing outward. Then apply waterproof mascara starting at the inner corner.

Hydrate your skin using a cream blush: use a cheerful lipstick and a cream blush over your cheeks in an upward motion going towards your temples.
