No one knows when make-up removers became so popular. Some make-up removers eliminate impurities and firm-up the skin, there are others that have negative effects on your skin, like staining it. These are not patches or skin peeling products but viscous gels that dry and form a firm coating on your skin, and then require a lot of effort to take off.. Some may find these products to be revolting, others may find the process to be joyous. Let’s discuss some such products:

1. Face Masks and Nose Packs
The peel-off face masks and nose packs are organized into 3 types: charcoal, clay and clear gel. Charcoal and clay masks scrub the pores by removing blackheads and whiteheads and clears up the surplus sebum. The clear gel nourishes and firms-up the skin. These gels are often enhanced with honey, tea tree extract or traditional oriental herbs. It takes about half an hour to dry completely, for all skin types. Use these once or twice a week.
Pros
Removes blackheads
Removes facial hair
Firms-up skin
Cons
May hurt sensitive skin types as these masks are strong exfoliators
Dries up the skin as it contains alcohol

2. Lip Tints
The peel-off lip tints allow you to eat, drink and kiss without tarnishing the colour or staining cups, glasses and clothes. No need to freshen it up, unlike lipsticks. You have to apply a thick coat and leave for a minimum of 15 minutes and then you can peel it off. The longer you leave it on your lips before peeling it off, the longer it lasts.
Pros
Lasts longer than normal lipsticks
Colour does not spoil if you eat, drink or kiss
No stains on cups and no need to re-apply
Cons
The peel-off lip tints are thick and sticky so are not easy to apply
Have to pucker your lips to avoid staining your teeth

3. Tattoo Brow Liners They work like the peel-off lip tints. They colour the brow hairs and the skin beneath with a temporary colour but you have to leave it on for 2 hours before removing it. The longer you apply, the longer it lasts.
Pros
Easier to use than peel-off lip tints as they are less sticky
You can have clear defined brows that do not smudge
You can apply before you go to sleep and wake up to perfectly-groomed eyebrows
Cons
Requires precise application
May remove a few brow hairs when you peel-off the tattoo brow liners
The colour can be uneven if the application is not correct.

4. Base Coats, Cuticle Peels and Nail Varnishes By using peel-off base coats you can remove your nail polish easily once you are tired of the current nail colour. Peel-off nail varnishes work the same way. Cuticle peels are different; they form a barrier around your nails so your manicure will be perfectly shaped.
Pros
Easiest to use and less hazardous
Cuticle peels allow beginners to apply nail polish effortlessly.
Cons
Dries up the skin as it contains alcohol
Cuticle peel should not get on your nails or it might end up removing the nail polish.
